Come enjoy a glass of wine and decompress after a long day with a combination of foam rolling and stretching techniques to decrease pain and improve your overall flexibility and mobility. In this class we utilize a wide variety of myofascial release and self-massage tools. It’s a fantastic way to learn how to make your body feel better on your own time. With so many self-care tools out there, it’s hard to know what works best for you and how to even use them. This is a great way to figure out both!

WHAT IS FOAM ROLLING?

You may own a foam roller, but are not sure what the purpose is, or how to use it.  Foam rollers are effective in soothing sore muscles, helping to prevent injuries, and recovering after a workout. They aid in self-myofascial release (a.k.a. self-massage).  Foam rolling helps release tension in the muscles and the surrounding tissue known as fascia, and allows for better blood flow to the muscle. They reduce stress, can increase range of motion, and increase the recovery process for sore muscles.  Think of it as your own, personal deep tissue massage and roll your way to a happier, healthier body.

No Experience Necessary. Please bring your own mat.

Chronic Pain Management

When you can’t make it in for a massage, feel better on your own time

Chronic pain is best controlled with consistent bodywork, but that doesn’t mean it won’t arise every day, or at times when you can’t make it in for a session. In this One and Done session you will learn how to manage your pain through a series of self-myofascial release (aka foam rolling), self-massage, and/or stretching techniques. There are so many things you can do on your own to reduce your pain immediately. Take back the power and be in control of your chronic pain management.

CUSTOMIZED VIDEO: During a session, it’s easy to think you’ll recall all the fine details of every exercise shown. The fact is, if it’s not practiced soon after, oftentimes much is forgotten. Remember every helpful detail by ordering a video of what you learned and keep it forever.

Learn healing techniques

The majority of us suffer from some form of chronic pain or general tightness.  To be a source of healing for our loved ones is a beautiful gift to be able to give (Not so bad on the receiving end either). It also provides a deeper way to connect with one another. Come in with a partner or loved one and let me teach you how to make each other feel great with Thai massage. 

This ancient tradition involves stretching and compressions of the muscles and is often referred to as "lazy man's yoga".  You will learn a 10-15 minute sequence of techniques to heal and impress your friends with. 

Each session is tailored to the specific needs of the couple, so no handouts are given.  If you'd like to tape the sequence you learn, please bring in a recording device and I will narrate the sequence while it's performed.
