Structural Integration

Structural Integration is a method of bodywork that focuses on improving the body's alignment and movement patterns. It's often used to address issues such as chronic pain, restricted mobility, and postural imbalances.

The goal of Structural Integration is to systematically reorganize the body's connective tissues, such as muscles and fascia, to create better balance and alignment. Fascia is a tough connective tissue that surrounds muscles, bones, and organs, providing support and structure to the body.

During a session, I use hands-on techniques to apply pressure, manipulation, and stretching to specific areas of the body. These techniques are designed to release tension, lengthen muscles, and improve the alignment of the body's structure.

Unlike traditional massage, which often focuses on relieving muscle tension and promoting relaxation, Structural Integration takes a more holistic approach. It considers the body as a whole interconnected system and aims to address underlying patterns of tension and misalignment.

Overall, Structural Integration can be a powerful tool for promoting physical well-being and enhancing overall quality of life by improving the body's structural alignment and movement patterns.

Please bring something comparable to running shorts and a sports bra to be worn during the session.
