Structural Integration: 10 Series

Do you feel like your movement is restricted in any way?

Can you remember a time when you weren't in pain?

Do you have poor posture?

If you answered, YES, to any of these, you will benefit greatly from the 10 Session Series.

As we get older, the daily stresses we put on our bodies catch up with us.  Through poor postural habits, repetitive stress, and injury, our bodies have developed compensation patterns that can lead to postural distortion, chronic pain, and a lack of range of motion. It’s taken you a lifetime to create these patterns of misuse. These 10 Sessions will help bring your body back into balance.

Focusing on where it hurts often goes after the symptom, not the problem.  Structural Integration isn't about chasing the pain, it's about realigning the body’s structure to decrease an unnecessary pulling the muscles have created on the bones, and fascia.

Here's a breakdown of the ten sessions:

  1. Session 1: Opening the breath and foundation: This session focuses on releasing tension in the ribcage, pelvis, and feet to improve breathing and establish a stable foundation for the body.

  2. Session 2: Lengthening the front line: Emphasis is placed on lengthening the muscles and fascia along the front of the body, including the legs, abdomen, and chest, to improve posture and alignment.

  3. Session 3: Side body and lateral lines: This session addresses lateral tension patterns, working on the sides of the body to create more balance between the left and right sides.

  4. Session 4: Integrating the back line: Attention is given to the muscles and fascia along the back of the body, including the spine, hips, and legs, to improve support and stability.

  5. Session 5: Releasing the neck: Focuses on releasing tension in the neck, shoulders, and head to promote relaxation and ease of movement in the upper body.

  6. Session 6: Organizing the core: This session works on integrating the core muscles and stabilizing the pelvis to improve balance and support.

  7. Session 7: Integrating the upper body: Addresses tension patterns in the arms, shoulders, and upper back to create better alignment and mobility in the upper body.

  8. Session 8: Integrating the lower body: Focuses on the hips, legs, and feet to improve stability, alignment, and mobility in the lower body.

  9. Session 9: Integrating the whole body: This session brings together the work from previous sessions to create a more cohesive and integrated structure throughout the entire body.

  10. Session 10: Sealing in the changes: The final session focuses on reinforcing the changes made throughout the series and helping the client integrate their new movement patterns into daily life.

Overall, the Structural Integration 10 series is designed to address the body as a whole, systematically releasing tension and reorganizing its structure to create better alignment, balance, and ease of movement. Each session builds upon the last, leading to progressive improvements in posture, flexibility, and overall well-being.

During a session, you're also educated on better movement habits and will learn corrective exercises for optimal, long-lasting results
